Institutional Effectiveness
The purpose of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at WCU School of Theology is to support and implement the mission, vision, and goals through the purposeful, systematic collection of information. The analyzed data will be used to interpret, measure, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the seminary’s programs, policies, and practices.
WCU´s School of Theology is fully committed to the need for and value of ongoing, continuous self-evaluation. Assessment activities, policies, and procedures include and are approved by the Board of Trustees. The School of Theology is committed to designing effective programs and the evaluation of those programs in accordance with the mission of the School “to serve the church of the Living God by equipping servants for the work of the gospel of Christ worldwide” . As such, there are a variety of academic programs offered at the school with varied purposes, objectives, and student learning outcomes.Indicators of program effectiveness for these programs are numerous. Such indicators include both institutional and participant self-reported data that help to ensure congruence of vocational intention and theological education. Institutional Convictions
These convictions are valued traits cultivated with our learning community that serve as desired outcomes across all of our degree programs:

Theological Thinking -- We value the ability to think with the Church through the skills of analysis and critical reflection. Communication -- We value the ability to articulate theological ideas. Collaboration -- We value the development and use of personal and interpersonal skills, shared gifts in ministry, for the service of community building. |
