The Department of Food and Beverage Management’s primary objective is to enhance the student’s career opportunities in the food and beverage industry. Graduates will be qualified for entry-level management positions, with the capability of advancing to general management positions.
The Food and Beverage Department of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management has been created to provide quality education to those seeking to begin a career or further their career in the Food Service Industry. The program, consisting of general education courses, food and beverage management courses, culinary courses, hospitality management courses and related skill development courses, seeks to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the work environment. Students can prepare for leadership careers in restaurants, contract food companies (industrial and commercial settings), catering, and bar/beverage organizations . The focus of the coursework is upon the development of strong managerial skills in the leadership of food service operations. |
